We have had the pleasure to have worked with Simon over the years on several projects within Cheshire West and Chester. As always, the quality of work produced is second to none.
From inception, we met with Simon to discuss the design brief and outline ideas for the Backies Nature Park in Chester. The completed bespoke seat looks fantastic. The backrest to the seat provides an excellent silhouette of the Welsh hills and captures the setting perfectly.

Collaborating with Simon O’Rourke on our project in Romania was a truly remarkable experience. It was a privilege to witness how trees were given a new life under his hands, transforming into breathtaking works of art. This project was a successful team effort together with Andreas from Kenosis, whose workshop provided the perfect creative environment. Beyond his extraordinary craftsmanship, Simon showed immense dedication and patience. We are deeply grateful for the unique mark he has left here and we look forward to working together again in the future!

Our beautiful oak tree had totally outgrown our garden. As a fitting testimony to its necessary loss, Simon sculptured the most amazing scene on its trunk depicting forestry wildlife. It’s difficult to say with element is my favourite, but the tiny fairy steps behind the tree continue to trigger imaginary tales whenever I peek at them.
Private client
I commissioned Simon to carve my beloved German Shepherd (“Cheila”) after meeting him and Liz at the Born Free Charity dinner and seeing his work close up. We took Cheila to meet Simon at his studio in Wales for a “fitting” and a few weeks later we had a fantastic life-size likeness of her delivered to our home in Warwickshire. She will sit outside our front door forever!
