Hi.
Im looking for a reputable wood carver in the UK to work on a unique project for me.
I'm a guitarists and play alot overseas and really want a personal one off piece made. I contacted a guy in USA but Really i wanted to keep it local as possible.
Is this something you would be interested on working on?
I have 2 unfinished and dis-assembled solid guitar body's ready for working on.
One is 1 piece Ash, 2 piece Basswood and the other is Basswood.
I just wanted one of the guitars with an Egyptian theme carved. Pyramids,Sphinx, scarab that sort of thing.
I can send you a photo of a guitar on the style of carving I was looking for if needed.
Please get back to me and let me know if you could do the work and roughly what sort of fee and time frame I would be looking at.
Regards

Hi
I'm from the Hive in Upton (Twitter). Some quick initial queries:
Can I just ask how much you charge for a day or half a day of carving? Do you normally come with your own logs or do we (can we) provide those?
Are you available Sat 30th June?
Are you CRB'd for school work?
cheers

Hi i have just cut a tree down in my garden and was hoping someone could get the stump out however they have been today and cant do it!! how much is a carving i was thinking an owl or something of the like about 3ft high. not sure you can give a price without seeing the stump but i dont want to waste your time if its going to cost too much as i dont have much of a budget for it. other than that your work is amazing! thanks mike collins

Churchill House
                          Churchill
                          Kidderminster
Hi there,
I wonder if you could help us please with any ideas?
Our beautiful willow tree was blown over in stormy weather this morning. I have no idea how old it was but it was but it was over thirty foot tall.
Is there anything that could be done with it as I would hate to see it just removed by a tree surgeon? It was such a beautiful tree.
I wondered if you had any ideas as I saw your gorgeous sculptures?
Many thanks for your time,
Anna

We have a large tree which is slowly dieing so rather than cutting it down I wondered if we could afford to have it made into a piece of art, a joy for ever.

hi Simon, I just rang you and think now that your owl is also fabulous so wondering if you could give me an outline quote for a bird of some description if it might be possible on trunk of ex-conifer which stands about 5feet tall and diameter of about 2foot? Ideas under a thousand?
