Pro Life Carving for Passion 08
Nov 16 2008
I’m all set to start running sculpture courses from early to mid next year, ranging from clay sculpture to chainsaw carving, beginner to advanced! I will be posting details early next year with info on how to get involved.
Check out the gallery pages to see pictures from a face carving course I ran in germany.

This is what I hope will be the first of many custom guitar builds. I made this one for myself but if you’re interested in commissioning your own get in touch.
I’m concentrating this year on buikding the foundations of the business and getting established in Ellesmere, Shropshire, where I will be opening a school of tree carving.
Here are the few competitions I’ll be doing this year.
The Husky Cup – May 9th and 10th
The English Open in Tatton Park – August Bank Holiday Weekend
The Scottish Open in Carrbridge – August 30th
any more I will post here. information on these competitions can be obtained through the links on the home page.
The first dutch international competition was held last week (12th-14th Oct) in Vaassen. I got a prize for the most inspiring piece of artwork for my windmill. nice…
The quality of these competitions is going up at a rate of knots… check out www.fasnacarving.nl and look at the gallery.
First place in the all power tools section of the combo event at Tatton Park! pictures will follow… I also managed to get 2nd place in the all chainsaw part.
Check out www.englishopenchainsawcompetition.co.uk to see the rules I had to follow.
Unfortunately the Extreme Sports Weekend has been cancelled ![]()
I am however hoping to organise the Downhill chainsaw carving race as its own event, and I am working on a place and time to do so. keep your eyes open!!!
Well, another rendezvous has come and gone, and it was amazing as ever. Thanks to Rick and Liz Boni for organizing the worlds biggest chainsaw carving event!
Pictures will be posted in the gallery.
Event Date – July 28th and 29th 2007
The gardening show to end all garden shows is happening again this year, and yes you’ve guessed it, i’m proud to be taking a part in this prestigious event again.
The brainchild of Stephen Green and run by exuberance (David Green), the best events organizers in the country; The Gardening Show at the international royal pavilion in Llangollen has proved to be a great success and will continue to do so for many years to come.
I’m definitely going this year, and I’m giving a seminar on carving the human face, and giving a professional carving demonstration.
It’s going to be a blast, and Liz is coming with me to keep me in check!, She won’t bust her ankle this time though!
